All Change in Local Elections May 2019

With the main parties expected to suffer heavy defeats in the imminent European elections, we took a look at the recent local council elections in England to see where the Conservatives and Labour had lost and to whom. The map shows Lib Dems making good gains but in more areas the political power switched from one party to no overall control, with no single party able to achieve a majority. It will be interesting to see later this week the effect of new Brexit / anti-Brexit parties on the country’s voting patterns – watch this space!
